A Pink Cordless Drill – The Best Drill You Can Buy

A Pink Cordless Drill – Buy the Best

Do YOU have a pink cordless drill? No?

Come on; you’re just kidding me, right? Why would anyone NOT want to have a pink cordless drill?

Awesome tool when you need more torque say for bolts

They’re the best drills you could buy, and I’ll tell you why. Pink has become the universal symbol of a charity called Susan A. Komen “For a Cure,” which has dedicated itself to seeking a cure for breast cancer. You’ve probably seen the little pink bows around, especially certain times of the year. They are a reminder of the need to keep fighting for this cause.

There are many things you can do to help, from doing a charity walk (or run) for a cure, to donating money, to buying a pink cordless drill from your local hardware store.

A portion of the money you pay for that drill will be donated to the Susan A. Komen “For A Cure” Foundation. Easy peasy. AND you have got yourself a very high quality, durable cordless drill to boot! AND a great conversation piece, because who is going to see you using it and not ask you, “Hey, why is your power drill pink?” (I get that all the time.) But that’s a good thing for several reasons – one of which is it gives you a chance to explain the Susan A. Komen “For a Cure” organization and all the good things they’ve done to help fight breast cancer.

You could mention, for instance, that they have raised and donated nearly TWO BILLION DOLLARS worldwide (in some 50 countries) for the cause of curing breast cancer. You could explain that pink drills and tool kits and gardening tools have all been instrumental in raising that $2,000,000,000. You could even show them what a high-quality piece of equipment your drill is – a real MAN’S tool if you will.

Maybe, if you explain all this, they too will want a pink cordless drill to do their part in saving lives. It’s a good cause and deserves all the support it can get. So, now you know about pink things. More often than not, if it’s on the store shelf, and it’s pink, it is likely connected with the Susan A. Komen “For a Cure.” So, buy it.

Buy it all. Fill your home with pink friendly stuff. But especially fill your tool shed with pink tools of every kind – like that pink cordless drill I mentioned. The best drill you could buy.

Buying Pink Tools Can Support Breast Cancer Research

Buying Pink Tools Can Support Breast Cancer Research

Five years ago, one of my best friends showed up for the volunteer construction project we were working on with a big grin on her face. “I have a surprise for you,” she said. After insisting I close my eyes for the effect, she placed something in my hand. It was heavy and rectangular with a slightly rough texture.

ladies pink tool kitI opened my eyes to find a pink tool box resting in my hand. Upon opening the pink tool box, I found pliers, screwdriver sets, and other helpful tools –all in pink.

She giggled and said, “Now none of the guys will run off with your tools.” The thought of a full-grown man with a 5 o’clock shadow running around with my pink tools in his hand made me smile. Since then, I’ve learned of an even better motive for buying pink tools: supporting breast cancer research. Take, for example, the website: www.littlepinktools.com/.

By buying pink tools, in kits or separately, you will be donating to Breast Cancer Research. The Little Pink Tools company gives 10% of all sales to the Breast Cancer Research cause. An additional benefit is that all tools come with a lifetime guarantee.

That’s not a bad deal—buy beautiful, guaranteed tools and support a great cause! Another company promoting the same cause is pink Tomboy Tools, who donates $1 from selected products and 5% of profits from pink hand tools to charitable organizations including animal shelters and breast cancer research. Though tomboy tools are not as focused in its donations to breast cancer (as it divides it among other charitable organizations), it is still nice to know that purchasing a tool you need will help a woman or animal in need. Maybe you feel you don’t use tools very often, so why support the sale of a pink tool?

Though you may not be a professional construction worker or ceramic tile layer, would it be nice to have a cordless drill on hand to hand a picture in your home without borrowing from the neighbor? And, like it or not, we all have had to use a screwdriver or pliers at some point in our life (even if we hate the thought of tools).

It can give a sense of satisfaction to have a handy toolkit around the home or in the automobile. So, if you are thinking of making such a purchase, perhaps you can buy a pink tool box or pink toolkit and support a worthy cause at the same time!

Why Do I Have A Pink Tool Box?

pink tool chestWhy Do I Have A Pink Tool Box?

The answer to that may surprise you. My pink tool box is made by the first company to import stainless steel tool boxes to this country – Cala Industries, makers of The Original Pink Box. My tool box is pink, and so are the accessories (or tools as someone of the male orientation might call them).

My “accessories” include everything from hammers and screwdrivers to wrenches and pliers for every occasion. I have pink hex keys and a pink tape measure and a level. They are all pink, every last one. “Why to pink?” you may ask, and I wouldn’t fault you for your curiosity.

It is as a reminder to one and all that the world needs to find a cure for a terrible disease that affects millions and takes millions of lives every year. Breast cancer. I think it is amazing that pink has come to represent so completely the cause of breast cancer research.

It all started with the Susan G. Komen “Race for a Cure” events to draw awareness to the cause of breast cancer research. Their symbol, a pink bow, has come to represent that cause. Anyone and everyone who sees a pink bow connects it with the Komen Foundation and the need to cure breast cancer. But now that pink symbol has carried over to other objects as many corporations have adopted that charity and produce products to sell that are all pink, with the promise that they will donate a certain percentage of profits from the sale of those pink products to the Susan G. Komen For a Cure organization to combat breast cancer. It’s like pink has gone viral! Thus my pink tool box.

But it doesn’t stop there. I also own a very non-macho looking electric driller, and a sander and jig saw that are also all pink! I get a lot of ribbing, but I’m also seeing more and more pink tools turning up, some in the most surprising places! Like the guy we hired to build our new deck … big guy.

Lots of muscle to go along with that pink battery powered screwdriver he was using. Turned out, his mother died of breast cancer. He wanted to do his part for the cause. So if you too would like to do your part, make a contribution by buying your own pink tool box, or some other pink product – for the cause!

Pink Tool Belts: Here’s To Good Health

Pink Tool Belts: Heres To Good Health

I am a breast cancer survivor. I am also really into volunteering. One of my favorite causes is Habitat for Humanity. What better way to give to a charitable cause than to get in there and physically apply your elbow grease? I mean, it is a great and generous thing to make a monetary donation if you can, but I cannot describe the joy that comes from pouring your heart and soul into a project and seeing the results in the relief, joy and gratitude shown on the faces of the recipients.

Whenever I am working on one of these projects with my friends for Habitat for Humanity we bring our tools along, conveniently hanging on our pink tool belts. Yes, you heard me right. I said pink. I figure, why not kill two causes with one stone. As I said previously, I am a cancer survivor … breast cancer, to be more precise.

They are all proud to wear them with me as I have mostly bought each one their bright pink tool belt. pink tool beltsWhat does that have to do with pink tool belts? Well, perhaps you have heard of the Susan G. Komen For a Cure organization. They’re the sponsors of the annual Komen “Race for a Cure” event that is now held nationwide.

It is a very active fundraising event that focuses on finding a cure for breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen foundation is the one that started those little pink bows you see people wearing as a reminder not to forget the need for contributions to this cause. Now, though, the pink theme has gone viral, so to speak, and incorporates many products … all pink … into this brand.

Pink is everywhere! It even has shown up in power tools … and in my aforementioned pink tool belt. The companies who make and sell these pink products have pledged to donate a percentage of their sales of these items to the Susan G. Komen For A Cure charity to support breast cancer research. It is a superb idea and has taken off!

It has gotten to the point now where the color pink has come to be associated not just with little girls, but with breast cancer research. So when you see tradespeople or handymen or handywomen wearing or using a pink electric drill or screwdriver or sander, or electric mixer or other kitchen appliance, or t-shirts … the list goes on and on, think of the Susan G. Komen foundation and make a contribution to the cause of eliminating breast cancer.
