A Pink Cordless Drill – The Best Drill You Can Buy

A Pink Cordless Drill – Buy the Best

Do YOU have a pink cordless drill? No?

Come on; you’re just kidding me, right? Why would anyone NOT want to have a pink cordless drill?

They’re the best drills you could buy, and I’ll tell you why. Pink has become the universal symbol of a charity called Susan A. Komen “For a Cure,” which has dedicated itself to seeking a cure for breast cancer. You’ve probably seen the little pink bows around, especially certain times of the year. They are a reminder of the need to keep fighting for this cause.

There are many things you can do to help, from doing a charity walk (or run) for a cure, to donating money, to buying a pink cordless drill from your local hardware store.

A portion of the money you pay for that drill will be donated to the Susan A. Komen “For A Cure” Foundation. Easy peasy. AND you have got yourself a very high quality, durable cordless drill to boot! AND a great conversation piece, because who is going to see you using it and not ask you, “Hey, why is your power drill pink?” (I get that all the time.) But that’s a good thing for several reasons – one of which is it gives you a chance to explain the Susan A. Komen “For a Cure” organization and all the good things they’ve done to help fight breast cancer.

You could mention, for instance, that they have raised and donated nearly TWO BILLION DOLLARS worldwide (in some 50 countries) for the cause of curing breast cancer. You could explain that pink drills and tool kits and gardening tools have all been instrumental in raising that $2,000,000,000. You could even show them what a high-quality piece of equipment your drill is – a real MAN’S tool if you will.

Maybe, if you explain all this, they too will want a pink cordless drill to do their part in saving lives. It’s a good cause and deserves all the support it can get. So, now you know about pink things. More often than not, if it’s on the store shelf, and it’s pink, it is likely connected with the Susan A. Komen “For a Cure.” So, buy it.

Buy it all. Fill your home with pink friendly stuff. But especially fill your tool shed with pink tools of every kind – like that pink cordless drill I mentioned. The best drill you could buy.

Get A Pink Power Drill And Do Your Part For A Cure

Doing Your Part For A Cure Buy A Pink Power Drill

pink power drillI recently bought my place. It has a lot of potential, but it is a fixer-upper, by design. I’m pretty handy with tools. My dad made sure of that.

I have worked with him for as long as I can remember, and I know my way around a tool kit.

So as soon as I moved in, I went tool shopping. I have some tools, but a lot of times I just used my dad’s, so I needed a few things, particularly an electric drill.

But when I came home with a pink power drill, you would not believe the uproar!

My mom says I have unwittingly set the women’s movement back half a century. My sister said I was turning into a living, breathing Barbie Doll. My dad said, “Pink? Are you kidding me? Power drills aren’t supposed to be pink!”

Family Portrait (in the elevator)My family isn’t anything if not opinionated. But I am also opinionated, and I felt I had excellent reasons for opting for a pink power drill … Humanitarian reasons, in fact. I wonder how many out there who are gnashing their teeth over the idea of pink power drills even realize there is a deliberate strategy behind the idea.

Pink, as in pink ribbons, has come to be associated with the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure charity seeking a cure for breast cancer – a disease that primarily affects women. So when you see a pink power drill or other pink power tools, remember, it’s not as girlie as you would think … except in a good way, because a portion of the cost of these pink tools is being donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

So, you get a high quality (a “guy quality” if you need to think of it that way) pink power drill to use for all your drilling needs, and a charity receives more money for its very worthy cause. I’ve kept my drill pretty busy since moving into my new house. I used it to put my bed together, to hang some wall shelves, to hand curtain rods and make a few repairs to my porch.

Every time I use it, I think about how much has been accomplished by the Susan G. Komen for a Cure organization, and I feel pretty good about myself. In fact, it makes me want to go out and find myself some more pink tools!

Buying Pink Tools Can Support Breast Cancer Research

Buying Pink Tools Can Support Breast Cancer Research

Five years ago, one of my best friends showed up for the volunteer construction project we were working on with a big grin on her face. “I have a surprise for you,” she said. After insisting I close my eyes for the effect, she placed something in my hand. It was heavy and rectangular with a slightly rough texture.

ladies pink tool kitI opened my eyes to find a pink tool box resting in my hand. Upon opening the pink tool box, I found pliers, screwdriver sets, and other helpful tools –all in pink.

She giggled and said, “Now none of the guys will run off with your tools.” The thought of a full-grown man with a 5 o’clock shadow running around with my pink tools in his hand made me smile. Since then, I’ve learned of an even better motive for buying pink tools: supporting breast cancer research. Take, for example, the website: www.littlepinktools.com/.

By buying pink tools, in kits or separately, you will be donating to Breast Cancer Research. The Little Pink Tools company gives 10% of all sales to the Breast Cancer Research cause. An additional benefit is that all tools come with a lifetime guarantee.

That’s not a bad deal—buy beautiful, guaranteed tools and support a great cause! Another company promoting the same cause is pink Tomboy Tools, who donates $1 from selected products and 5% of profits from pink hand tools to charitable organizations including animal shelters and breast cancer research. Though tomboy tools are not as focused in its donations to breast cancer (as it divides it among other charitable organizations), it is still nice to know that purchasing a tool you need will help a woman or animal in need. Maybe you feel you don’t use tools very often, so why support the sale of a pink tool?

Though you may not be a professional construction worker or ceramic tile layer, would it be nice to have a cordless drill on hand to hand a picture in your home without borrowing from the neighbor? And, like it or not, we all have had to use a screwdriver or pliers at some point in our life (even if we hate the thought of tools).

It can give a sense of satisfaction to have a handy toolkit around the home or in the automobile. So, if you are thinking of making such a purchase, perhaps you can buy a pink tool box or pink toolkit and support a worthy cause at the same time!

Pink Ladies Tool Kit – For a Cure

Pink Ladies Tool Kit – Helping To Find A Cure

As a single female and a homeowner, I recognize the importance of acquiring a few “handyman” skills. It is just too darn expensive to have to pay a professional to come out whenever there is a problem involving household repairs. That is why I have made it a point to build up an arsenal of tools pink ladies tool kit and work as well as some handyman skills. ladies pink tool kitThe first thing I bought in the way of tools was a pink ladies tool kit. Pink?

Yes, I did say pink.

I just figured I would kill two birds with one stone that way. I get this fantastic toolkit full of everything I could want or need for basic household repairs and projects. I mean this kit has everything: from hammers and screwdrivers, to a level and hex keys … and everything in between. It is certainly everything I would use.

The extent of my handyman skills go little further than picture hanging and maybe building a shelf or putting up curtain rods. If it’s too major, I call in the experts: the plumber, the building contractor, the electrician, or a real handyman.

Still, I have put my little pink ladies tool kit to use many times and am glad to have it. But that brings us back to the big question: Why Pink? The answer has nothing to do with my “girliness” or my ignorance of the women’s movement. It has to do with breast cancer and Susan G. Komen’s For A Cure Foundation.

Anytime you see a person using a pink ladies tool kit, or a pink power tool, you know that is a person who cares … who chose pink because a portion of their purchase price went to make a donation to Susan G. Komen’s breast cancer research charity. It’s nice to know that your money is so well spent. Every time you look at that toolkit or use a tool, it is a reminder that a donation was made to this wonderful charity when you purchased that pink ladies tool kit.

This organization has accomplished so much good with their annual “Race for a Cure” events, and their other fundraising events. It all started with a little pink bow, and now it is any number of products … all pink, to represent the Komen name and foundation. If you have an opportunity to buy one of these Pink Ladies Tool Kit – For a Cure, I recommend it highly. It is for a good cause.
